Our Adventure On The 77 Years Old Breitling DC-3 Plane
Celebrating its 77th anniversary this year, the legendary Breitling DC-3 landed in Malaysia on April 2, 2017, as part of its record-breaking world tour aiming to become the oldest airplane to circumnavigate the globe.
To celebrate the world tour, Breitling introduced a 500-piece limited edition of its famous Navitimer aviation chronograph. This steel Navitimer 01 (46 mm), powered by Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01, will notably be distinguished by its caseback engraved with the Breitling DC-3 World Tour logo.
Enthusiasts will have to wait until the fall of 2017 to get their hands on this model – all 500 pieces will travel aboard the DC-3 around the planet. Also, each watch will be delivered with a certificate signed by the flight captain.
Check out the video below to view our experience on the Breitling DC-3 where we soared around the Kuala Lumpur Tower and interviewed the watchmaker, Stijn Vervloet and Captain of the Breitling DC-3 World Tour, Captain Francisco Agullo.
